Phone Rant
Sometimes, I hate technology. Not only did I just drop a small fortune upgrading the family's cell phones, I have to spend oodles of my precious time trying to figure out my new phone.
Great, I have e-mail access! Hey, I can use Twitter from my phone! Web access! Well, now I'm spending my whole Sunday clicking this and that. I'm never quite sure if I'm setting something up right. Wait, how did I do that?
I had my other phone for two and half years and was finally getting the hang of it! Now I have to play trial and error with all this other crap.
Don't even get me started with how much of my Sunday was spent in the mobile store. Then even after all the so called "rebates", it still ended up costing over a $100 more than I anticipated.
The rest of my evening will be spent goofying around with the phone and filling out rebate paperwork. I have to get that paperwork going ASAP, so that we can get some of our money back, probably sometime in 2010!
Aren't these things supposed to make life easier? I think it was easier when people would call someone and there was no answer and then they thought, "Oh they must be out. I'll talk to them later." End of story.
